ITW Paktron has introduced a 250 volt DC rating in the Capstick® Capacitor – Type CS series. These high performance Multilayer Polymer (MLP) Film Capacitors feature ultra-low ESR and high ripple current capability in a small case size. Designed for high frequency filtering and EMI/RFI suppression in AC/DC or DC/DC Power Conversion applications. The MLP capacitor provides improved stability, both electically and mechanically, compared to large multilayer ceramics. The MLP also features "non-shorting" operation and does not crack like large ceramic chip capacitors. The Type CS series capacitance values range from 0.33µF to 20µF and voltage ratings include 50, 100, 250, 400 and 500 VDC. Both thru-hole and SMD mounting configurations are available. MLP trademarks include Capstick®, Angstor® and Surfilm® Capacitor. Typical pricing for the 250-volt rating is $1.49 in production quantities.
